Buster Cupcakes

Buster Cupcakes
Buster and I are making all the cupcakes out of "Hello, Cupcake" by Karen Tack and Alan Richardson, like Julie Powell did with Julia Child's "Mastering the Art of French Cooking". We are open to gimmicks of any flavor!

Hey, nice cupcakes!

World of Warcraft- you love it- we'll bake it

We are loving our heart -shaped Daddy-O cake pans! Just like a famous baker on TV made for his mother- must be super special! We had to try a practice gluten-free, honey-sweetened, flourless chocolate cake- and we determined that it was too death-by-chocolate for a social chocolate cake eater. With the special imported Valrhona French chocolate ordered off the internet, though, I thought it was one of the best things I've ever tasted. The mocha frosting and whipped cream did cut the chocolate a little bit, and the extra love helped!
I also had a big weekend playing sax, guitar and singing with my band "The Sugar Highs." I made honey-sweetened, vegan chocolate mocha cupcakes with pink glitter guitars, and I copied the lovely logo in frosting! Quite an event! Big news is that Buster did his break-dancing trick at the Assisted Living Center today, previously he had been too shy. Now to meld the cupcakes, singing/sax/guitar playing, and Buster breakdancing into one seemless Bichonoodle Circus Act- we could definitely get a Reality Show!

  1. Hello there! I'd love to know what you used for the Buster look-a-like cupcake eyes and noses. They almost look like blueberries!
Is that cream cheese frosting piped on? So cute. Thanks!

  2. Jelly Beans! The frosting that works the best is Betty Crocker plain Vanilla- not whipped! "Hello, Cupcake" by Karen Tack and Alan Richardson has all the great ideas and inspirations. Happy Cupcaking!
