Buster Cupcakes

Buster Cupcakes
Buster and I are making all the cupcakes out of "Hello, Cupcake" by Karen Tack and Alan Richardson, like Julie Powell did with Julia Child's "Mastering the Art of French Cooking". We are open to gimmicks of any flavor!

Hey, nice cupcakes!

This is Buster. And some cupcakes I made using Betty Crocker mix and frosting. We watched "Julie & Julia" last night, so Buster decided he wanted to write a blog about working our way through all the recipes in "Hello, Cupcake!" by Karen Tack & Alan Richardson. 41 recipes, 365 days to go! Good thing the book starts with April Fool's Day- my birthday! Buster also wants to talk about Louie and his escapades. Louie is the Mean Maine Coon cat that is Buster's litter-mate. Louie lay on his back and scratched a hole in the the mattress cover under the bed and then crawled into the hole. He looked like Frank in the special Christmas Episode of Always Sunny in Philadelphia when he tried to hide in the leather couch, one of the funniest TV moments ever.
So Buster and I are lucky to be married to a super nice husband like the husbands in Julie & Julia, who also takes awesome photos! He just said I could mention whatever I wanted to about him in my blog, "As far as I'm concerned, any publicity is good publicity." Seven years of Film School....
We feel bad for Julie that Julia Child thought her blog was gimmicky- so we hope to make ours extra gimmicky! Cute! Happy Purim- the Jewish Halloween. My favorite aunt's church in Boston has a pancake dinner that the men have to cook for Fat Tuesday, so we decided to make that our Purim tradition. It's a beautiful day in San Francisco, so we're off to the beach since the tsunami warnings have passed. Our thoughts and prayers go out to all the people of Chile. I hope you enjoy your day and happy [catchphrase]! winkie face! ;-) Bonne Cupcake!
